How it works

Sailcorner connects you with charter operators. You choose the yacht; they confirm availability and look after it.

  1. Step 1

    Search and compare

Filter by destination, dates, yacht type, cabins and budget. Every listing shows the weekly price, mandatory extras and the operator, in the same format.

  2. Step 2

    Send a booking request

Choose your dates and tell us who is sailing and whether you need a skipper. Sending a request is free and does not commit you to anything.

  3. Step 3

    The operator confirms

The charter company checks availability and replies with a confirmed offer or a suitable alternative. Payment terms and the security deposit are agreed at this point, directly with them.

  4. Step 4

    Check in and sail

On embarkation day the base team hands over the yacht, walks you through the equipment and checks your paperwork. Then it is just you and the sea.

What is not live yet

Online payment is still in development. Today, payment is arranged directly with the operator after they confirm your request. Listings on this site are sample data while we onboard charter companies.

Accounts are optional: you can search, save favourites and send a booking request without one. Sign in with a one-time code sent to any email address to keep your favourites on every device and see your booking requests and saved trips in one place.

How we review operators

Before a charter company’s fleet appears on Sailcorner, we check that it is a registered business, that its yachts are insured for charter and that the specs, photos and prices it lists match what you will find at the base. Operators we have checked show a verified tick on their profile and yacht pages.

While we onboard companies, the operators and verified marks you see are sample data and have not been checked by us yet.

Do I need a licence?

For a bareboat charter (no crew), at least one person on board needs a recognised sailing licence, and usually a VHF radio certificate. If nobody holds one, add a skipper to your request and the operator will arrange one.

What does the price include?

The weekly price covers the yacht. Most charters also have mandatory extras, such as final cleaning, a transit log or tourist tax, which we list on each yacht page so the total is clear before you send a request. See our cancellation guidance for what happens if plans change.
