About Premium +
What would a classic yacht look like today if its culture, materials and craftsmanship had continued to evolve, embracing new spaces, new comforts and new technologies over time? Mimay was born from this question: not a replica of a yacht from the past, but a new expression of classic yachting. Three years of design and complete reconstruction have shaped a yacht where wood, brass, period furnishings, reclaimed materials and traditional craftsmanship come together with contemporary comfort and technology. The past is not reproduced; it becomes part of a new language. The spaces themselves have been reimagined around freedom and quality of life on board: no corridors, more generous communal areas, just three cabins and distinct outdoor spaces. With only six guests, privacy and conviviality can alternate naturally throughout the day. Technology follows the same philosophy, discreetly integrated into the yacht. Mimay was designed from the outset to accommodate the fully green propulsion system developed by Alkadia with the University of Calabria, making research and innovation an integral part of the project from its very beginning. At its heart, however, is a way of experiencing the sea: the pleasure of being under way, the discovery of new places and a natural sense of conviviality. The sea becomes part of the journey itself, to be experienced without haste. Cuisine, mixology and live music accompany life on board with the same effortless ease. Hospitality follows this philosophy too: attentive, discreet and free from unnecessary formality. The result is a way of travelling in which luxury is defined not by what is displayed, but by the quality of time, space and attention.
